Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction: A Typical/Concise Review    [PDF]

M. Naghdi
Nearly a recent century of work is allocated to Nucleon-Nucleon (NN) interaction issue. We review some overall perspectives of NN interaction with a brief discussion bout deuteron, the general structure and symmetries of the NN lagrangian, equations of motion and solutions. The main NN interaction models, as the frameworks to build the NN potentials, are reviewed concisely. We try to include almost all well-known potentials and discuss more on the various commonly used explicit forms of two-nucleon potentials with an emphasis on the almost phenomenological ones and working in coordinate-space mostly. These potentials are constructed in a way that fit the NN scattering data, phase shifts, and are usually compared in this way. An aim of this study is to starting the comparing of the various potentials shapes. So, we also comment on the advantages and disadvantages of the models and potentials with citing some relevant works and probable future studies.
